How the Turpin Case Exposes Flaws Behind Our Foster Care System with Roger Booth
In this podcast episode, Donna Jones, President and Director of Associate & Client Experience, interviews Roger Booth, attorney and owner of Booth Law, to discuss how the Turpin Case exposes flaws within our foster care system.
The Turpin case involved David and Louise Turpin of Perris, California, U.S., and the maltreatment of 13 children and dependent adults between the ages of 2 and 29. On the night of January 14, 2018, 17-year-old Jordan Turpin escaped from the family home and contacted the police. Police raided the Turpin home and seized disturbing evidence from the residence. National and international news outlets covered the story extensively due to the number of dependents involved, the degree of abuse, and the protracted nature of the abuse occurring over decades.
During this interview, Booth discusses the case in detail, as well as the ways in which he is helping the family receive the care and justice they deserve by exposing the negligence within the foster care system.
